Historic Guthrie, Oklahoma

Things to do in Historic Guthrie

Guthrie was born in a single day, in the Land Run of April 22, 1889, and went on to be Oklahoma's territorial capital and its first state capital. Much of that town is still standing: downtown is a National Historic Landmark district of brick streets and late-Victorian storefronts, roughly 400 blocks with more than 2,000 historic buildings.

Pembroke Cottage is six blocks from downtown, close enough to leave the car parked for the weekend.
